"Failed" Error When Sending Messages
If you encounter a "failed" error message when sending direct messages through our software on X (formerly Twitter), this is most commonly caused by X's daily message limits.
Why does this happen?
X implements rate limits on direct messages to prevent spam and abuse. These limits vary depending on your account's verification status and age. Newer or unverified accounts typically have stricter restrictions on the number of messages they can send per day.
How to resolve this issue:
Wait and retry - If you've hit your daily limit, wait 24 hours before sending more messages
Verify your account - Adding a verified phone number to your X account often increases your message limits
Check your account status - Ensure your account is in good standing with X
Additional information:
For more details about X's direct message limits and restrictions, please refer to X's official FAQ: https://help.x.com/en/using-x/direct-message-faqs
Note: These limits are imposed by X, not by our software. Our application correctly reports the "failed" status when X rejects a message due to rate limiting.
